The Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) is a residency status skilled migration visa for professionals who have already lived and worked in Victoria and have skills that enhance Victoria’s health response and economic recovery. The Ministry of Home Affairs is in control of the visa.

One can work and study anywhere within Australia with this visa and sponsor qualifying relatives for permanent residency. Become an Australian citizen only if one has eligibility.

Eligibility requirements for this visa 

Eligibility:

If one has to be chosen to apply for a Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa, they must submit their visa nomination application through the Live-in Melbourne website. In addition, they must fulfill the following minimum eligibility requirements to be nominated for a Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa.

Age requirements:

To petition for the Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa, one must be fewer than 45.

Language criteria: 

Those applying for this visa must have a good command of the English language (or equivalent).

The proficient level is equivalent to at least six (6) points in each band of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or similar scores in authorized alternative examinations. In addition, applicants can acquire the IELTS equivalent in any of the Department of Home Affairs’ recognized language examinations, including the OET, TOEFL IBT, PTE Academic, and Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE).

As part of the online nomination application, applicants must attach a scanned copy of their English language exam results. When submitting a visa nomination application, applicants must guarantee that their English test result is valid for 12 weeks.

Residency: 

 To obtain a residency permit, one must have lived and worked in Victoria for at least the previous 6 months and then present proof of residency with the application form. As an example:

• A current commercial lease or bond arrangement
• A bill or documents proving your continued residency in Victoria for the previous six months.

Finances:

There are no financial limitations because all applicants must live and work in Victoria.

Cost:
The visa costs AUD 4045, spouse AUD 2025, and kid AUD 1010 (per child) — government fees do not include professional expenses.

Any candidate 18 years of age or older with less than functional English may be required to pay an additional fee. This charge is known as the second installment, and it must be spent only when requested. We only ask for the price if we intend to grant the visa.

For family members, the second installment fee is AUD4, 885.
